Great Reno Balloon Race 2008, Sept. 5-7
The internationally renowned Great Reno Balloon Race will paint the Reno skyline again Sept. 5, 6 and 7, 2008 at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.

The World's Largest Pajama Party at The Great Reno Balloon Race, Sept. 6
Show off your best (or your worst) morning hair-do at Pajama Fest 2008 for a chance to win one of several great prize packages. Check-in at the Pajama Fest at Rancho San Rafael on Sept. 6 between 5 and 7 a.m. You must be wearing pajamas to qualify for the competition!

Virginia City Camel Races, Sept. 5-7
For a few days each September, Virginia City is taken over by exotic animals: camels, ostrich and emu. It's strange enough to see these giant birds and humpty-back desert horses in a quiet mountain town, but area folks actually hop on the backs of these beasts and race 'em.

National Championship Air Races, Sept. 10-14
The National Championship Air Races has announced the race theme for the 2008 event, to be held at the Reno-Stead Airfield Sept. 10-14, will be 'A Celebration.' As part of the festivities, Race officials also announced the return of the United States Air Force Thunderbirds.
